Friends of St.Gabriel’s Fundraising Lunch

Last week, on Thursday 17th May, I took part in a fundraising event in Dunraven Arms Hotel, Adare. The benefits, which amounted to €13,000 according to Joan McGowan, went to the Hydrotherapy Pool at St. Gabriel’s School in Limerick.

It was a great event, the committee members: Suzanne Leonard, Breeda Hayes, Kate Fleming and Joan McGowan did an incredible job and managed to impress the audience with an amazing list of sponsors and wonderful prizes. Well Done, Ladies!

The audience, as you’d expect, was impressive – stylish, sophisticated ladies, many of them accomplished business women. I sat next to Celia Holman Lee and Fiona Connolly from Lyons Ford Garage in Nenagh.

A good 4-5 hours felt like nothing when there were so many things to talk about, i.e. fashion :-). Celia wore a jersey wrap dress in purple colour, giving a very flattering silhouette. I wore an outfit from my “Romancing the Lace” Collection: a silver colour knitted, knee length sleeveless dress and a top with ample collar and gorgeous crochet lace sleeves from the Autumn Winter range.
