Loopy Flower crochet pattern in Irish Crochet Style
The following flower pattern is based on an antique Irish crochet motif from Priscilla Irish Crochet Book No.1, published by The Priscilla Publishing Co., Boston, Massachusetts in 1912.
How to Crochet a Loopy Flower in Irish Crochet Style?
Crochet Yarn
- crochet cotton Size 10 colour A = white, crochet cotton Size 5 colour B = orange multi.
Crochet Hook
- 1.75 mm steel hook.
Flower Crochet Pattern
Picot loops (p l)
Work in the top loops of the previous row: (1sc in the top loop of 1st st, 5ch, 1sc in the same st, 1sc) and repeat.
Start: using colour A wrap 10 times around the tip of the little finger, pull the loops off and cover with 20sc, join with sl st
R1: 4ch, 1dc with 1ch between each in every sc in the ring, join in the 3rd of the 4ch from start of row, 1ch
R2: work 3sc on the 1ch loop of last row, change to colour B, fasten off A.
Make 3 rows of p l. Fasten off.
