CROCHET PATTERNS (Crochet Flower Pattern #143 Bougainvillea) – 365 Crochet Flowers Bouquet Project

About Bougainvillea

Bougainvillea is a flowering plant native to South America. A decideous or evergreen woody vine, depending on the region where it grows, Bougainvillea scrambles over other plants with the help of its thorns.

The leaves are heart shaped. The flowers are tiny and white sorrounded by 3 papery bracts – pink, purple, magenta, white, orange, yellow or red.

Grown outdoors, bougainvillea loves full sun and dry soil, but it can also be grown indoors and kept small by using bonsai techniques.
