CROCHET PATTERNS (Pattern #66 Fuchsia) – 365 Flowers Bouquet Project


As promised, here is my own take on the Fuchsia flower crochet pattern.


Fuchsia Crochet Pattern

How to Crochet a Fuchsia Flower?

Crochet Yarn

  • embroidery cotton colour A = purple, colour B = deep pink, colour C = pink, colour D = green.

Crochet Hook

  •  2mm steel hook.

Details of components

  • bell-shaped flower
  • pink filaments with stamens.

Crochet Pattern

Fuchsia Flower Crochet Petals

Start: using colour B and 2mm hook,

R1: (make 3ch, skip 2ch, 1sl st in the next ch) x 9. Change to colour A, 1ch, turn and work only in the 3ch-sp

R2: (1sc, 1dc, 2tr, 1dc, 1sc) x 3 = 3 small petals, (1sc, 3ch, 4dtr, 3ch, 1sc) x 3 = 3 med petals, (1sc, 5ch, 5dtrtr, 5ch, 1sc) x 3 = 3 large petals. Finish off colour A.


Cut off one piece colour B, 31/2 inch long and make 2ch at one end. Change to colour C and make 1 clone knot. Fasten off C. Finished length 21/2 inch.

Filaments and Stamens

Cut 4 x 31/2inches lengths of colour B and knot the ends.


Roll the petals, the small ones on the outside.

Fold the filaments in half, and together with the stigma piece pull and secure them inside the petals' bell.

Stem and small leaf

Start: using colour D and 2mm hook, make 7ch


Make 10ch, turn, skip 2ch, make 6sc, 1ch to cross the stem, pivot and make 1dc, 4tr, 2dc, 1ch, turn and down the other side make 2dc, 4tr, 1dc, 1sc in the stem to finish the leaf.

Make 20ch and make another leaf. When finished, make 10ch, skip 3ch and join in the ring  using sl sts, 1ch. Continue in round.

R1: 4sc, join with sl st, 1ch

R2: same. Change to colour B and continue with the sepals.

Crochet Fuchsia Sepals

R1: 4sc, join with sl st, 1ch

R2: same.

R3: make 2dc in each 4sts = 8sts, join with sl st, 1ch

Turn work.

R4: (1sc, 12ch, skip 1ch, make 1sl st, 3sc, 3hdc, 4dc, 1sc in next sc in ring) x 4 = 4 sepals.

    What is a dtrtr stitch?

      If for dtr stitch you wrap yarn 3 times over the hook, in the dtrtr stitch you need to wrap yarn 6 times over the hook. I hope this helps.
